Sales Manager/AM Sales - Pan India
This is a full-time on-site role located in various cities in India. We are looking for Sales Manager/Asst. Sales Manager who will be responsible for tapping the sales of rooms, banquets & MICE, Wedding and social events for our hotel located in Jaipur. Key responsibilities include rigorous sales calls, increase room and F&B revenue, tap potential markets / segments. The position will report to the Corporate Director of Business Development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to drive business in new and existing markets/travel agents, MICE
- Network with the sales team members to ensure full market coverage
- Works collaboratively with off-property sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary and not duplicative
- Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.
- Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc
- Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities
- Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business
- Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence)
Qualification
- Degree from a reputed university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 5 - 7 years’ experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area
- OR
- 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 1 year experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area
- 7 years’ experience in Hospitality sales on a cluster or regional role
- Excellent follow ups and guidance to unit managers
- Experience with budgeting and financial analysis
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations
- Willing to travel and be mobile
